Upset Alert

It’s been a wild NFL weekend

Good morning,

Let’s dive in…

Developing Stories 📰

It has been quite a week in the NFL so far. Here is your recap;

  • Baker Mayfield signs with the Rams and four days later upsets the Raiders who came into the game Thursday on a 3 game win streak

  • The, now 6-7, Lions took down the 10-2 Vikings

  • Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy, makes his first rookie start and takes down Tom Brady and the Bucs 35-7. This was the first time a rookie QB made his debut and defeated Tom

  • Deshaun Watson continues to struggle as he loses to the red hot Bengals. Joe Burrow finally gets a W over, divisional rival, Cleveland

  • Jalen Hurts balled out while defeating the Giants 48-22 in New York. After throwing for 217 yards with two touchdowns and adding 77 yards and one touchdown on the ground, Hurts has moved to the favorite to win NFL MVP

  • Mike Tomlin is in jeopardy of having his first ever losing season after losing 14-16 to Tyler Huntley and the Ravens. The Steelers fall to 5-8 and have four games left to play this season

  • Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins fall flat after traveling across the country to LA. Fins lose 17-23 to the Chargers

  • Tennessee loses its third straight as the Jags came in and rolled 36-22

  • Dallas gets the win over Houston but doesn’t even come close to covering the 17 point spread. Cowboys squeak by Davis Mills and the Texans 27-23

To close out week 14 tonight we have the New England Patriots flying over to Glendale to face the Arizona Cardinals. These are two teams who have struggled so far this year. For one team this was somewhat expected but for the other this would be a disappointing season so far. The Patriots are a young team that has been working to rebuild since Tom left them a couple years ago. The Cardinals are a team that people had making the playoffs coming into the season, yet are a lousy 4-8 on the season. There has been nothing but drama in Arizona. Cliff and Kyler have beef, Hopkins and Kyler have been seen arguing on the field mid-game, Kyler’s contract literally says he must watch film because he will not do so himself. All of this has obviously leaked from the locker room to the field as the Cardinals just are not winning. Bill Belichick would never allow such clownery to be happening within his team. Expect a stronger and more determined New England team to be the ones that show up in Arizona tonight.

Picks 🔒

New England -1.5:

  • The Cardinals have been a big flop on the field this year. They're 4-8 and their playoff chances are faint. The Patriots are coming off a break with the more veteran coach, Bill Belichick. They are one game out of the final Wild Card spot for the AFC. Mac Jones has been playing well recently and I think he can get it done against the Cardinals.
