After a wild college football weekend the second College Football Playoffs rankings projection was released on Tuesday night. Previously ranked number 1 Tennessee dropped to number 5 after a loss at Georgia. Clemson also dropped of out the top 4 to number 10 after a loss to Notre Dame. Alabama dropped from number 6 to 9 after losing at LSU. TCU and Michigan move into the top 4 as their undefeated seasons continue.

Thursday night we have a divisional matchup in the NFL as the 4-5 Falcons travel to Carolina to face the 2-7 Panthers. Marcus Mariota has been better than expected this season as he has had success throwing and running the ball. Cordarrelle Patterson has been the key star in this offense as the 31 year old continues to run with steam. The Panthers have been a dumpster fire this season as they shipped off their star running back to San Fransisco, had three quarterbacks go down with injuries, and fired their head coach. PJ Walker has come in and had some success moving the ball, although that didn’t show last week when they faced and angry Bengals team. With the divisional familiarity I expect somewhat a close fought game here. I’m not sure if that will come offensively or defensively - I’m just glad we’re not watching Broncos country this Thursday.
