Can the Warriors even the series on the road?

Good morning,

Let’s dive in…

Developing Stories 📰

76ers vs Nets Game 2

The Sixers now lead 1-0 in the series as they head into Game 2 on Monday night in Philadelphia. The Nets are going to look to even the series early if they want to gain any momentum. But competing against Embiid and Harden is no small task, and the 20-point difference in Game 1′s final score proved that. In the regular season, the 76ers easily swept the series with the Nets 4-0, winning by a combined total of 45 points. However, the Nets did have the advantage shooting from the field in Game 1. They shot 55% to Philadelphia’s 47% and kept the score close for the first half of the game with Mikal Bridges leading the scoring. After falling behind in the second half and not being able to find an answer for Harden and Embiid, though, Brooklyn couldn’t catch back up. The Sixers are 10-point favorites yet again entering Game 2 and should be feeling pretty confident after their 20-point Game 1 win. Covering that spread in the past hasn’t proven to be too difficult for them against the Nets and though Brooklyn may be able to keep it a closer game, Philadelphia should be able to do it again and get the W on Monday night.

The Golden State Warriors Vs. Sacramento Kings Game 2

The game will be at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento at 10 p.m. ET. The Kings lead the series 1-0 after a thrilling 126-123 win over the Warriors in Game 1. It was the Kings’ first post season win in 17 years. It was the Warriors’ first Game 1 loss in the first two rounds of playoffs in the Steve Kerr era. Six years after being selected No. 5 overall in the NBA Draft, De’Aaron Fox made his post season debut, leading the Kings in Game 1 with 38 points, shooting four-of-eight from the three - a franchise record. He and Malik Monk combined for a total of 70 points and six of the Kings’ 12 threes. Stephen Curry scored 30 and Andrew Wiggins scored 17. It was a back-and-forth battle in the fourth quarter, with any team able to come away with the win. In the end, Wiggins and Curry both missed shots to fall by three and give the Kings the 1-0 series lead. The Warriors will definitely be playing to win on Monday to try and even up the series on the road before heading home for Game 3. We can expect another high-scoring, offensive shootout in tonight’s game as both teams look to make deep playoff runs. The Warriors have been treacherous on the road this season at 11-31. In the playoffs, however, they have won road games in all 24 of their series. Despite the Game 1 loss, the Warriors are one-point favorites heading into Game 2.

Picks 🔒

Warriors -1 | The Warriors have been around the block a few times and they know this is the game to steal on the road. I don't expect they will let Monk do what he did on Saturday, and with some adjustments, they should take care of business.
