The Heat Steal Game 2

Series tied as they head to Miami for Game 3

Good morning,

Let’s dive in…

Developing Stories 📰

The Denver Nuggets certainly have not underestimated the Heat for even a single second. No lead is ever quite safe against this Heat squad, and the Nuggets became the latest team to be on the receiving end of a late-game comeback, tying the series at one apiece. With two days of rest before the 2023 NBA Finals resumes, the Nuggets will take on the Heat on the road in Game 3. Three Heat players scored 20 or more points. On the contrary, the Nuggets, aside from Nikola Jokic, had no one breach the 20-point mark. Gabe Vincent with 23 while jimmy Butler and Bam Adeboyo ended the night with 21 each. Nikola Jokic did his job scoring 41 points and had 10 rebounds becoming the first center outside the Lakers franchise with 40+ points and 10+ boards. That wasn’t enough for the home team as the Nuggets lacked support from teammates, primarily Murray and Porter Jr. Porter was 1-6 from the three and he still couldn’t find his rhythm in this series. Murray had 18 points and he missed a three to tie the game.

Denver won both games in the regular season, winning 124-119 at home and 112-108 on the road. They would win the opening game of the NBA Finals before losing last night. Miami picked up their 3 pointers going 17-35 and taking 20 free throws after only getting two in Game 2. The Heat are in an excellent situation right now. They have the home-court advantage which removes some pressure on top of everything. The Heat  play exceptionally unselfish basketball, creating good shots on seemingly every possession. But the Nuggets will make it a priority to slow down the Heat's barrage from beyond the arc, as they hope to win away and take a 2-1 series lead in the 2023 NBA Finals.
