What a tough game for the San Fransisco 49ers. A play at the beginning of the game could have changed the entire outcome of the game. The Eagles were driving down the field when Jalen Hurts connected deep with Devonte Smith for a huge gain on 3rd & 10. The Eagles swiftly got to the line and ran the next play- two later they were in the end zone. After the touchdown we had more time to review the big catch by Smith, and we saw that he didn’t catch it. A challenge by the Niners here would have led to an Eagles punt. The Niners would have taken possession with the game tied, 0-0. Maybe then Brock Purdy isn’t throwing the ball as much and getting hurt on the Niners first drive of the game. A whole lot of ifs here though- which do not mean a thing. What does matter is the Eagles came out on top 31-7 and will be playing for their 2nd super bowl in 6 years.

The Bengals and Chiefs matchup was a much closer game, with the Chiefs kicking a last second field goal to win 23-20. The Chiefs were without the best LB, best CB, top three WRs, Kelce almost didn’t play, and Mahomes played one week after a high ankle sprain. It was a tough fight and the Chiefs pulled through in “Burrowhead Stadium”. Chiefs head back to the big game for the 3rd time in 4 years.
