UGA and UT face off for the first time since Longhorns join SEC

Good morning,

Letโ€™s dive inโ€ฆ

Developing Stories ๐Ÿ“ฐ

No. 5 Georgia at No. 1 Texas (7:30 p.m. ET):
Texas has looked strong all season, even without starting QB Quinn Ewers for part of it, and holds the No. 1 ranking. However, they face their toughest opponent yet in Georgia. Georgia hasn't looked like a complete team in any game this season, but if their defense can stop Texas, they could leave with a major road win.

No. 7 Alabama at No. 11 Tennessee (3:30 p.m. ET):
Tennessee's best team yet under Josh Heupel faces Alabama's explosive offense. The game will likely be decided by which defense holds up. Alabama QB Jalen Milroeโ€™s mobility will be key, while Tennessee needs QB Nico Iamaleava to get the offense going early to keep up with the Tide's high scoring.

No. 8 LSU at Arkansas (7 p.m. ET):
Arkansas QB Taylen Green, coming off a career-best game, looks to upset LSU. LSU, fresh off an overtime win, will be tested on the road against a 4-2 Arkansas team, with the SEC championship race in mind.

Nebraska at No. 16 Indiana (noon ET):
Indiana is dominant, ranking highly in scoring and third-down efficiency, and has six wins already. Nebraskaโ€™s defense is strong, but they havenโ€™t beaten a ranked team since 2016, and they need another win to boost their season.

No. 24 Michigan at No. 22 Illinois (3:30 p.m. ET):
Illinois, led by QB Luke Altmyer, looks poised to knock off a third top-25 team this season. Michigan can't afford another loss if they hope to stay in the College Football Playoff race, but their shaky quarterback situation makes it a tough challenge.

Weekend Picks ๐Ÿ”’

Yankees/Guardians Over 7.5 | This game is expected to have a lot of runs since both teams are playing back-to-back and used their bullpens heavily in game three, meaning starters might not last long.

Louisville +5 | Louisville has stayed strong at home, often starting games well, just like last season. Coach Brohm is known for beating top teams, including last yearโ€™s win over No. 10 Notre Dame. Miami has been struggling lately, especially at the beginning of games, which gives Louisville an edge to strike first.

Arkansas +2.5 | A closer look at the stats shows LSU probably shouldn't have won, while Ole Miss let a key road win slip away. This is a great spot for Coach Pittman, who thrives as a home underdog. Back the Razorbacks to keep it close, or even win outright.

Nebraska +6.5 | The Cornhuskers have won 6 out of their last 7 games against Indiana. Dylan Raiola, is playing smart with a 9 touchdown to 3 interception ratio and completing nearly 67% of his passes. Plus, the Huskers had a bye week, giving Raiola and coach Matt Rhule extra time to prepare for the Hoosiers.

Auburn +3.5 | Missouri easily beat a weak UMass team last week, but they've had a tough time in their three games against stronger opponents. Now, they face Auburn, a team eager for its first conference win and coming off a bye week for extra preparation.

Eagles -3 | The Giants give up the third-most yards per carry, making them a good matchup for Saquon Barkley to shine, especially with the Eagles' strong rushing offense. New York's offense is struggling, averaging just 9.3 points per game at home. So if the Eagles can stop them on fourth down, they should do well. In fact, five of the last six games between these teams have seen Philadelphia win by more than five points.

Lions +1.5 | The Detroit Lions are on a roll, winning three straight and four of their last five games. The Vikings may be doing well, but I think their undefeated streak ends here since their offense isn't as strong as it seems. Detroit has a powerful passing attack that ranks fourth in the NFL, while Minnesota's pass defense is weak, sitting at 30th, and their running game might struggle against Detroit's strong rush defense.

Chiefs +1.5 | The Chiefs have done well as underdogs with Mahomes, with an 8-3-1 record against the spread. In Week 7, there's also a strong trend in their favor. Head coach Andy Reid has an impressive record after a bye week, winning 21 out of 25 games and covering the spread 15 times.
