Developing Stories ๐Ÿ“ฐ

Once again we were stuck with a mediocre Thursday night football game. Things started slow and stayed slow in this game as it finished WSH 12 - CHI 7. The total landed 19 points under the total set by Vegas. Carson Wentz finished the night with only 99 passing yards and zero touchdowns. The highlight for the Commanders was Brian Robinson getting a score and looking like the RB 1 for the Commanders in his second game back from being shot multiple times.

The Astros stay hot as they head to Seattle up 2-0 in the series. Kyle Tucker started things off for the Astros with a solo homerun in the 2nd inning. Seattle battled back to take a 2-1 lead. That is, until Yordan Alverez came back up to the plate and smashed a two run homerun. Jeremey Peรฑa has been crucial in the series as he has gotten on scored  two of the Strosโ€™ three runs yesterday.

 Weekend Picks ๐Ÿ”’

Nebraska/Purdue Over 56 - Both defenses are nothing special. Nebraska ranks outside the top 100 in passing yards allowed and 111th in rushing. I think the game is going to be closer than we think. I still don't want to take the spread so I'm roiling with the over.

Clemson -3.5 - Give me Clemson. They are scoring over 30 PPG. They looked solid against their last outing against Boston College with 364 total yards 19 first downs one turnover and two penalties. The Seminoles struggle to attack the ball vs ranked opponents. averaging 20 PPG this year.

Chargers -5 - The troubles will continue for Denver. Russell looks terrible and has a partially torn Lat in his right shoulder. They don't have a strong RB2 with Javonte Williams out for the season with a torn ACL. The chargers will roll and this line is wrong.

Utah -3.5 - Utah is favored for a reason here. Don't let the team rankings get into your head. The trojans defense ranks 35th in yards allowed per game and offense ranks 25th. Utah ranks very similar at 29th. Utah also gets home field advantage under the lights. Give me Utah I don't think Whittingham will drop two in a row.
