This Saturday marks the 124th edition of the enduring college football rivalry between Army and Navy set to unfold in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Last week the Black Knights secured their fifth win of the season by overpowering Coastal Carolina 28-21. On Senior Day, Army showcased their ground game, amassing 365 rushing yards with a 5.9 yards-per-carry average. Tyson Riley led with 112 yards on 12 carries, while QB Bryson Daily contributed 94 yards on 22 carries. In contrast, the Navy Midshipmen approach the rivalry with less momentum, having lost three of their last five games, including a 59-10 defeat against #25 SMU in Dallas. The first half saw limited success with a one-yard touchdown run by Daba Fofana and a 69-yard touchdown run by Braxton Woodson. Woodson, with 104 rushing yards, struggled through the air, going 9-of-18 for 71 yards.

Navy's defense managed five tackles for loss, one sack, and three pass breakups but failed to force turnovers. Their special teams recovered a muffed punt at the SMU one-yard line, setting up Fofana's score. Despite this, Navy was outgained significantly, accumulating only 112 yards compared to SMU's 445.

As the Army-Navy game approaches, the Black Knights appear as the hotter team, led by an opportunistic defense and a deliberate offensive strategy. In contrast, the Midshipmen aim to utilize the two-week break between games to regroup and prepare for their pivotal matchup against Army, their most significant game of the season.
