Marshall (-12) and Uconn will play each other as the CFB moves to its Monday action. Marshall ended the season strong, winning their last four games to finish 8-4 on the season. Uconn has been one of the surprising stories this year in CFB after a huge turnaround season from Coach Jim Mora Jr. giving Uconn their first bowl game since 2015. Marshall needs to stop the run if they want a clean and easy win. They finished as a top 10 team by only allowing 101 rushing yards per game and 3.1 yards per attempt. Uconn will have to be strong against this rush defense. Dual threat QB Zion Turner doesn’t have a game with over 200 passing yards, ranking 130 out of 131 nationally. The spread has moved 2 points towards Marshalls side so I would LEAN towards under 41.

Coming into the season the Packers and Rams looked like a great matchup for Monday Night Football. Now we get the 4-9 Rams with Baker Mayfield and a 5-8 Packers team with Rodgers that shows no signs of improvement. Somehow the Packers still have a chance to make the playoffs after the Seattle loss on Thursday. The Rams must play perfect If they want a chance to win this game. They are without Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and Aaron Donald did not play last week. HC Sean McVay needs to design a new game plan to contend with whatever the Packers throw at them. The Rams will cover if they can run the ball efficiently and keep the pressure off Baker. The Packers fate is all in the hands of Aaron Rodgers. They must win out if they want a chance to make the playoffs. Will we see vintage Rodgers tonight or will their playoff hopes end in the hands of Baker Mayfield?

We should see a lot of running and passes only when needed. The clock should be moving with both teams run heavy. Marshalls defense is one of the best in limiting first downs on the ground. Zion Turner has zero games with 200+ yards so expect Uconn to run the ball most of these first downs. Uconn offense averages a slow pace of 29.7 seconds per play.
